Aaron Rosenow - Vita

The drumer Aaron Rosenow is a state-recognised instrumental teacher, ensemble and choir director. From 2020 to 2025, he studied jazz and jazz-related music at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media under Prof. Eva Klesse. From 2025 he will study improvisation and composition in Gothenburg, Olso and Koppenhagen. The focus of his work is playing modern jazz in an experimental context in small ensembles with plenty of room for spontaneous interaction and dialogue with fellow musicians. It is essential for him not to lose touch with traditional jazz. From this background, he is active in the fields of free improvisation, interdisciplinary work with dancers and new music. Teachers such as Robert Lucaciu, Tino Derado, Marc Muellbauer and Thomas Markusson have supported and challenged him in his individual artistic development.

His guitar trio toba has existed since 2021 and released their debut album live in 2024. We play a repertoire of our own material in the field of modern jazz and a selection of covers of favourite songs. In this trio Aaron Rosenow unfolds his joy of experimentation in percussive soundscapes, pop-influenced grooves and free improvisation. His solo project <punkte&momente> has been running since 2021, in which he performs with drums and electronic alienations, improvised and composed material.

Voluntary work in the Hanover cultural scene and youth education is an important part of Aaron Rosenow's work. In 2022 he was a scholarship holder of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation and has been a scholarship holder of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation since 2021.
